Above are images of my MFA Thesis Exhibition, Before and After/Hands Holding. It was installed in the Nancy Hyatt Liddle Gallery at the University of Albany from April 27th through May 14th, 2023.
This installation combines large mylar drawings, wall drawings, and suspended laser-cut mirrors. The drawings cover four walls: one large (33 x 13 ‘), one mid-sized (13 x 10 ’), and two small (13 x 7 ‘ each). The mirrors are hung from the center of the ceiling.
Before and After/Hands Holding was awarded the Distinguished Master of Fine Arts Award by the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Albany. It was funded through an MFA Thesis Scholarship Award.
The images below make up the draft proposal for Before and After/Hands Holding.
These drawings were made in graphite, to scale; the installation contained the same compositions in a combination of wall drawings and collaged mylar painted with black acrylic paint. The final installation is pictured above.
